Half-length tablecloths will extend halfway to the floor. Common outdoors and for more casual events, half-length tablecloths are often more comfortable for guest seating since guests are less likely to get caught on the linen as they are sitting down. The most commonly mentioned downside to half-length tablecloths is the appearance. Some clients dislike the look of a half-covered table, and since they only go halfway to the floor, the table legs will be visible.
